16 Retail Stores That Offer Senior Discounts (Verified)

Table of Contents

As a consumer, you probably shop at many different retail establishments, and you may choose the stores you frequent based on the quality, price, and value, of their items, but how do you know you are getting the best deal possible?

There was a time not long ago when it was pretty easy to find senior discounts at different businesses, but it seems that is changing. We have noticed that many retailers have decided to stop giving senior discounts, and instead, use a store loyalty card or a rewards card as a way to offer deals to their customers regardless of their ages. Sure, a deal is a deal, and we definitely wouldn’t turn one down, but if you are a senior, there might be discounts out there that you are missing out on.

If you know of any senior discounts that we missed, we would love to hear about them. Please let us know so we can add them to this list and share them so more people can benefit from the discounts.

Our Methodology

To find out about what types of senior discounts are still available, we did exhaustive research on retailers, as we noticed that most of them don’t even address senior discounts on their websites. So, we decided to investigate further by calling and live chatting with dozens of retailers to find out if they offer senior discounts, and if they do, what the terms and amounts are.

We then collected all of this information and packaged it for you in a way that shows each retailer’s discount information. So, the next time you venture out to do some shopping, whether it’s something small like a shirt or something a bit pricier, such as a new cell phone, a quick look at this list might save you some money.

You will notice that these discounts aren’t consistent among businesses. Some retailers offer a straightforward 10% discount to seniors with no restrictions or conditions, but others may require you to shop on specific days of the week or join a special club. We also found a few that give discounts to AARP members, so you can put your AARP card to good use at these stores.

Before you go on your next shopping trip, it’s a good idea to take a look at this list and see if there are any discounts that you could use. Taking a few minutes to do this could result in some savings, and that’s always good.
